About The Creators
Cindy Yoon
USA
Cindy Yoon has worked in journalism, web and museum management, and independent documentary filmmaking. After studying East Asian history as an undergraduate at the University of Chicago and then media and communications at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, she has written content and edited videos for non-profit/educational organizations, websites, and interactive installations. Cindy has always been interested in telling stories about the vast histories of Asia and Asian America. After reading many amazing graphic novel series with her two kids, she fell in love with the genre and is now excited to explore the intersection between visual storytelling and historical fiction.

Kimberly Miranda

Kim Miranda is a comic book artist and illustrator currently living in Houston, TX, USA with her husband and two cats. She grew up back and forth in Baguio City/Davao City/Manila, Philippines. Then, Kim and her family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, Winter Park, Florida, and Pearland, TX (it was a ton of moving around).

Louise Kay Uy
USA
Louise Kay Uy is a Los Angeles-based comic and storyboard artist with a love for character- driven stories. A speedy board artist who worked on marketing campaigns for animated and live-action films for clients such as Disney, Marvel, Muppets, Paramount, 20th Century, and indie films.
Growing up in Manila, Philippines, Louise read comics and watched animated shows and movies with family. She moved to the US and earned a BA in animation, and now if she is not drawing, she is cooking and eating and playing mobile video games.

Phuong Ha
USA
Phuong Ha has been known to overstay her welcome in libraries and bookstores ever since she was young. When she wasn’t reading magical books and manga, she was daydreaming about adventures of her own. After earning a B.A. in Literature and Broadcast Journalism from the University of Houston, she built a career in literacy and museum education before joining the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco as Director of Public Programs. At her core, she is passionate about creating experiences that make storytelling, art, and culture accessible to everyone.
